Pencils from newspapers

(re-post)

IMG_3045There is something about pencils that delights me and always has.  For years I wrote letters, stories, poems, dreams, journal entries, even a few of my books in longhand on lined paper with a pencil.

There are still pencils in every room in the house, in the glove compartment of the car, in my knitting bags, in the garden with a pad or roll of paper for notes or thoughts or scribblings or sketchings.

Finding these at a church sale had me replacing all of the above with one of these.

They write really well: the lead is the right shade and density:  they are a good grippable size: the eraser works!

There were eight in the box from an original dozen (one is already in the car).  I got them all for a dime.
