I mentioned this chair here when I first got it; since then I have discovered it is a Peter Opsvik design and called a Tripp Trapp chair meant to serve a baby as a high chair and then the growing child by seat and foot adjustment.
Seems my tweaking it to an adult chair with magazine rack was my own 'invention'. Fun.
