The Origami design : garments

The Origami design:  clothing as architecture housing the body.

Folded from a single piece of cloth;  starting with a triangular shape from folding down a corner;  only three cuts – armholes and neckline;  minimum of sewing  (to anchor folds);  pockets, kick pleats,  form on their own;  edges left (mostly) free, unfettered;  each one different.

(This is a re-post from many years ago.  I came across some interesting material at the Friday church thrift store and decided to make another of my Origami original-design dress.  Blogging across many years has produced several posts on fibre art – a worthwhile record of the work.  And I came across these.  Most I still have but a few are gone -  nice to see them and remember.
