Out of the Ordinary

Poem : Longings

Interesting, how the past can reflect the present,  how the journey reflects the experience.

LONGINGS

I longed for a fountain in my house by my bed,  But I went and I slept by a river instead.

I did daily stretchings and bent my knees deep,  Til I got me a job tending mountainous sheep.

I searched for a garment that I alone chose,  Then I lived on an island and needed no clothes.

I yearned for a purpose, at long last to see   I was part of the whole and the whole part was me.
