That is what we used to call the colour comics that came with the Sunday newspaper from the big city of London, Ontario, a fair drive from small town St. Thomas, more than fifty years ago.
Comics have delighted me ever since.
Favourites have been collected over the years; it is time to get another book in which to paste the recent ones.
My mother would enclose comics with her letters.
A woman whose husband had just died told me he read the comics first thing in the newspaper and she would very much miss his sharing them with her.
I'd like to meet Gary Larson, Stephen Pastis (and roll my eyes with his mother), Calvin's 'dad', the kids who inspire Zoe, Hammie and Wren – and their creators.
