This origami Santa was from a book at the library, Origami Holiday Decorations by Florence Temko.
I googled to see if the instructions might be offered online without any luck but I imagine anyone more proficient (and patient!) using search engines would be successful. In any case there are many Santa's with the "how-to"'s on the Net.
This one has worked for me in the past on a card or as a tree ornament.
This year I took a large piece of bristol board, turned it into a square, and folded Santa in bigger size as a front door greeting.
Maybe I'll get the chance to crouch behind the door when the grandboys come to visit and give out a few loud "Ho, Ho, Ho"'s
