I came across the device meant to clip on an ironing board, elevate the iron's electrical cord and provide flexiblilty while ironing.
It works perfectly alongside the balll winder to provide a third or middle hand for the yarn while I use the hand not doing the winding to gently guide the fibre from the skein.
One day I might discover how it works on an ironing board!
