Came across this butter while browsing through an interesting grocery store. Cultured. I'd never seen or heard of such a thing.
Good ol' Google came up with much information from the description to the process, the history, blogs and opinions.
It does taste different. Old-fashioned, somehow. It reminds me of how butter used to taste.
I imagine it will be delicious on artisan bread, corn on the cob, a hollow in a bowl of oatmeal ….
