I had no idea what it was when I saw the box – but it sure looked interesting. And even more so when the top was lifted up.
It took a moment, but soonest I realized that …..
with a bit of a nudge a hat p0pped up.
For the moment contemplative lady is wearing it; looks like her friend shares my admiration and approval.

Knowing you Karen, I’m sure you’ve already researched Dobb’s Hats, but I thought I’d add this bit of trivia from their website.
Dobbs hats are worn by those who seek only the finest in classic straw and felt hats. ( They’ve been around since the ’30’s.)

I didn’t come across this bit of trivia – thank you – had no idea they did straw as well. I did find one the same as this supposedly worn by WC Fields – think it was on e-bay. Mine looks more a Fred Astaire hat.
