I've seen old cutlery repurposed into mobiles and wind chimes and towel hooks and recipe holders but this, from a spoon and knife handle, is my favourite.
It was in a black tarnish phase when I got it, which I find appealing, but some toothpaste was applied to let a bit of silver shine through.
A single leaf or flower or autumn grass would perch well in it. The thought – and sight – of some ball chain which I had scooped up at a garage sale last weekend (more on the why's of this later) soonest led to this combination.
