This was the site notice and the promised content gave it priority.
Spotted on a table with many other things, the old paper bag and the glimpse of yarn trailing to an object spurred further investigation.
The bag, turned over ….. a handwritten name …..
More excavation ….
A miniature toy monkey. NELSON … Red Heel …Rockford Socks. Worth pursuing for dating and origin and history. The scale will not likely be appropriate for my miniature house-in-progress but maybe an incongruous addition.
As far as I can tell without having gone through the directions it is all there.
Will I make one – or both – monkeys? I don't know. And it would not seem right to make one and not the other. Or maybe make one and mount it and the raw material for the other with the directions in some sort of display. Of course my idea of display veers toward the wearable. Hmmm. Part of a vest …… ?

Well Karen, you’ve piqued my curiosity one more time. I just had to look up the history of the Nelson red heel Rockford Sock. I’m sure you’ve already done so. Enjoying your blog as usual.
Hi Carol
Now you have me inspired to make up one of these! I put the bag in my ‘pending’ basket. Hmmm.
