Snowdrops under the pear tree shared through the fence with the neighbours.
Sweet woodruff ; a sprig is taken and put into pocket where it will dry and become more fragrant.
There were not many berries on the holly bushes and it has been a mild winter but a few remain for the birds, just in case….
The sun had not yet managed to convince these dandelions to come out and bloom.
Always somewhere to stop and sit. The rug is the result of an "I wonder what will happen to an indoor carpet left outdoors ……"
Catkins from the hazelnut trees.
Last of last season's scarlet runner beans that were hidden in the leaves in their teepee.
I enjoy watching how the knit garden vessels weather across all seasons; the clothes peg bag on the fence is in its fourth year.
I wondered if a bird might nest in this. Nope. But the wind has left nesting materials!
The slinky seems to have kept its bounce.
The blue of the rosemary flower against the green of the leaves under a blue sky with the winter green grass is breathtaking; more so when I crush a leaf and hold it to my nose and breathe deeply. Later I chanced to see a hummingbird visiting the flowers; was he colour blind or is the red attraction a myth or was he making do when no red was available except the refined white sugar offering at the red feeder.
A garage sale treasure done by a local artist who I never managed to track down but oh I am grateful to him or her.
Most tools get put away between use but some remain outdoors for impromptu service all year round.
A sheltered spot where I once sat after a major snowfall and used a snowdrift as a foot rest.
The low lying sun drifted past the shadow of the house and chucked this dandelion under its chin so it opened its eyes.
