I like the kind of workshops where the process is demonstrated and then the attendees left to get on with exploring the procedure with the facilitator there for guidance if wanted. These are rare kinds of workshops but I have experienced enough of them to know they suit my nature, which tends to delight in 'reinventing the wheel' and which finds the most beneficial type of education, of learning, is one in which each and every person is both a teacher and a student.
What joy to be taught something by watching someone do it and then continue to learn the skill by playing around with it, and in the ongoing exploration discover something the first teacher did not know …… and so on.
What joy to show someone how to do something and then watch that person expand and carry one onto new horizons.
It requires a different mindset. It is worthwhile.
