Out of the Ordinary

Corn on the cob. And lime.

IMG_0044 Peaches and cream corn with just a skiff of butter and a sprinkling of fresh lime juice.  Ahhhhh…….

And the best way to cook corn is to submerge the shucked cobs in cold water in a saucepan, bring to a boil,  remove pan immediately from heat,  cover and let sit for ten minutes.  Remove corn and enjoy. 

That's how my Uncle Jim and Aunt Barb cooked corn at their farm for family reunions  in a huge pot on an open fire.
