There is a forsythia bush a block or so away that does have a few flowers already opened but they are all wearing scarves. We have had cold winds this winter and stick-around snow; this is why our flowers are late. So a week or so ago I brought in a single branch from our front garden. And in the warmth and light of the kitchen it began to bloom.
How does it know how to do this? I mean apart from the explanation of what happens. How does it know……….
