Simple loom…….filled

IMG_7992
Raw fleece and some handspun wool were used as the weft on the knitted warp of hemp yarn.

Or did I want to weft/weave with raw fleece and handspun yarn so  the warp got knitted.  Coming in this order suggests the fleece as warp and the knitting as weft.

Intertwined with it all  -  contentment.

What will it become?  I don't know yet.

Seems it has to hang out for a bit.

  1. Your past 2 posts remind me that I have a loom tucked away in a little suitcase somewhere in the craft closet. This was something I had as a child and I do remember making a scarf on it. I must dig it out and see what I can do with it. Your piece turned out lovely. I think it could be framed and hung on the wall.

  2. Morning Linda I bet you will be pleased to get out that loom again. Thanks for your comment and suggestion.

I like it! Weaving at home already! And combining knitting and weaving. My mom figured out how to encorporate crocheting into weaving…

  4. Morning Stephanie It’s an adventure to mix the media of fibre, isn’t it. Crazy carding one example. I look forward to playing with this!
