…..I, distractedly (with all that snow having finally vamoosed I was not expecting an ice-covered windshield) start the car, put on the air conditioner instead of the back window defrost, and get out to scrape away the ice. After a bit I noticed that the rear window did not have those little lines of melt that make me marvel at what modern technology can do. Back in the car I realized I had pressed the wrong button. It then took me a few moments to realize what happens when you turn on the air conditioner and the front window defrost at the same time.
You get major condensation on the inside of the windshield.
I couldn't figure out why the windshield wipers were not removing this – I must have been still distracted or something – and for a moment thought the droplets were frozen on the outside and that the wipers were skimming over them.
A cloth and some arm action cleared all!

It is good to hear the snow has gone. Looking forward to your Tuesday post about socks.
Hello Linda. The snow now seems a ‘dream’ (a chilly dream!) but the odd blackish mound here and there (where it got piled) tells us it was very real.
