Out of the Ordinary

Poem: Decisions. And it snowed….

Decisions

I said to the fly, frantic at the window,
"Are you sure you want out;  it's cold and there's talk of snow."
But you know how flies are – we humans can relate –
They're not ones to pause and have a good think on a suggestion.
Buzz and batter, buzz and batter, buzz, buzz, batter; so I opened the window.
It blew out.  I paused for a moment in case it changed its mind and flew back in.
It did not.  If it snows I suppose I will think of it and wonder.
Hope we both made a choice that seemed  right.   K.S.

The 'fly' is origami folded by middle son, Dylan,  many years ago.  I did not think to photograph the fly in question  before I opened the window.

And yes – it snowed!
