Teeny tiny tutorial : book holder

IMG_6232

In its simplest form this could be a bungee cord attached at both ends to the wall with hooks on top of an existing book shelf.

This is in the bathroom and the ledge above the wainscotting is  narrow;  an old towel rack served the purpose of holding books perfectly.

I had been using stretchy cord but on more than one occasion it had let one of the books loose and that was startling.  A bungee cord would have had more ooomph to it but I found this rack before I found an interesting looking bungee cord.

What I like best about this is the discovery that there is a book called ‘Zen and the art of knitting!’ Going to look it up on Amazon pronto!
Loved the wearable garden feature too. You have a very unique brain.

  2. The book is worthwhile. How did your demo on making yarn from stinging nettles go?

It was great! People were so interested and I got enough fiber to demonstarte the process. Now I am drying a new batch of nettle to try and get a larger amount of fibre. Have taken photos and will post on my blog some day soon. Love the yin yang jacket, am going to have a go at making this for myself.
