This Jumble puzzle that appears daily in the paper gives me great enjoyment. I cut it out and hang it on the wall and give it attention during breaks.
I like how, sometimes, there are two possible words, as in this one. Well, a gifted child likely fidgets! And the circled ‘butane’ with the "hah" comment refers to my thinking it was ‘unbeat’ and so, of course, I could not solve the final answer.
Reading about studies that proved learning can be influenced by how our eyes strike the page got me experimenting with different angles, brief glances, squinting…. I have found, often enough, with letters that seem a word is not possible (or else it is an alien language) that tilting head and viewing page almost at table level will suddenly have those letters grouped into the (non-alien) word.
They say such mental exercises are good for the brain and prevent such aging issues as….hmmmm….what was it now…..I forget……
