KNITTING : ONE BALL OF WOOL

Img_0452_2Knowing how we tend to think of the person who gifted us with wool when we wear or use whatever we turned that wool into,  I decided to see how many items – and thus ‘comes to mind’s – I could make from a ball of Manos del Uruguay Handcrafted Kettle Dyed Pure Wool. (Google the name to get all the info on this lovely endeavour – once again I cannot get a link to work!)

From top left, clockwise:  three juggling balls, the mending on the gloves and the bracelet and ring, the sewing notion holder (it’s bean filled, like the juggling balls), necklet/pouch, shallow trinket bowl, eyeglass or cell phone case, flower brooch, leftover wool, bookmark, wristlet.  I don’t think  know there is not enough of the yarn left to make the second wristlet so I may take apart the necklet or maybe the trinket bowl.
