  • GARAGE SALE THEME

Last weekend the recurring feature was food dehydrators, all the same, electric, tiered – at three different sales, one (grubby) for $2 and two (clean) for $10 each. Did not buy any. Been there, done that. My best memory of drying fruit for later use is of simply stringing sliced apples and hanging in a warm kitchen (lovely old fashioned sight) in anticipation of a camping trip abroad, then savoring the release of sweetness while slowly chewing the unlikely looking pieces of ‘leather’ in France, Yugoslavia, Turkey……..
The Wealthy Barber made its weekly appearance – so, is this success or failure being demonstrated, the fact of so many people having purchased the book and now giving it up? And do second sale rights exist for authors yet? Call in the Writers’ Ombudsman! Or do I mean Advocate? Whatever.
