  • CHAIR AS GARMENT

Because I can think it – it is possible; because I have thought it – it is likely fact.  I want to know who brought it about, how and where.  Why is obvious.  When isn’t so important.  A chair that ‘fits like a glove’, which changes to suit as the body or the situation changes.  I don’t mean the chair envelops the body but conforms to the shape of whatever area is being supported or touched by the chair; that would be individual – some people might have need of more elbow and arm contact; knitters, for instance; computer users; bloggers. A chair that ‘reads’ the body and translates the ‘story’ into the most conducive position for comfort.  Heck, it could go beyond the physical structure to infrastructure – assess and correct for temperature, mood, etc.  But I would be content to simply sit in a chair and feel truly supported.  So, where is it available……………?
