It isn't something I do often but when I do I much enjoy it. Ironing. There's something about the smell of clothing being pressed that is pleasing; it may be memories evoked: my mother liked ironing, both the process and the result. I like ironing with the sound and sight of outdoors; ironing in the garden would be a delight.
The iron is old and simple and works great. If a crease needs steam I dip my fingers under the tap and shake droplets of water onto the garment. At times I have ironed wet fabric until it is dry and smooth.
Usually the wind and a clothesline and dripping wet garments result in clothing that suits me just fine….so ironing isn't something I do often but when I do I much enjoy it.
