The overhead light fixture in the bedroom did not have its heavy glass covering in place when I moved in and I left it off – it didn’t quite suit.
Then, after I had made a few pinwheels and looked at them horizontally – and realized you can look up at something horizontally as well as down – well, I had to try one on the light. The first attempt was too big and I learned about ratio to weight of material – it sagged.
This one is fine.
The threaded post and cap hold ite nicely and, no, it doesn’t spin freely in the
breeze; I think I would need a lighter, stiffer paper. This one is a slightly glossy cardstock and its weight restricts easy motion.
There’s something soothing about the rounded shape from all angles.
I am thinking now to make one and hang it thusly from the archway on the verandah…..
