This is me walking around the house unrolling a skein of yarn from both the outside and inside leaving a long line of doubled yarn from room to room that will then be easy to wind int0 a ball using the wool winder because I want a double-wound ball which I then will draw from both the inside and outside in order to have four strands of yarn with which to knit the next top-notched hat. Whew. Long sentence.
I am sure others have done the same but I think it is more common to do it with a tangled bunch of wool – to walk around with the tangle on the floor and find that it, for some reason, untangles easier than holding it in both hands and sort of teasing it out of its cranky state. The other night I was doing this but if I try to take photos using other than daylight they look really weird so I took advantage of this opportunity to chat'n'show about strolling with wool and invite others to share how they do it.
Then, thinking about chronicling, brought out an increased awareness (I love this aspect of increased communication!) and I noticed the pattern the yarn made on the floor. This reminded me a lonnnggggg bouquet.
And this looked like a possible self portrait of how yarn sees itself.
