Time and inclination coincided for me to rip the amber fabric into strips and hang it in the doorway of the water closet (I love that term!) so that the light would continue to flow but the sight of the predominant appliance would not be so predominant. (There is a solid wooden door.)
It is a work in progress. The strips certainly give a nice hue to the light and sway in the slightest breeze. I'm not sure if the addition of paper beads strung randomly would enhance or not.
Have to live with this stage for a time and see what occurs.
