Scarf : knit on arms with cheerfully- spun uncarded fleece
Washed and fluffed and soft and vibrant fleece …..
spun with no attempt to tame……
produces a free range yarn ……
which leaps gladly into arms being used as knitting needles…….
to produce a scarf that is a heck of a lot of fun to wear.

Ah, that wool is fabulous! I’ve JUST been doing the same thing, spinning straight off the fleece (unwashed too) onto a drop spindle, because I absolutly hate carding! But the thing is, it really works, and little bits of grass and chaff just settle to the edge of the yarn and can be easily pulled off.
But your washed and spun yarn is lovely – looks like popcorn.

Hi Susan. Well, that is neat. Maybe a ‘doodle’ of your yarn or the process will ‘brain’ us….
