Upscaling : rescued fibre art

IMG_0338 This exquisite handwoven scarf was found under a pile of stuff in a basket at a church sale  ;  the bit of colourful fringe poking through got me burrowing.  I did a silent shout of "wow!" and then "hooray!"

It feels quite wonderful to come across such treasures and keeps me contentedly looking.
It is also fun to imagine who made the item and when and where and why and how it came to be donated.

The simple design here was used to turn it into this bag.

  1. The bag looks fabulous. I just love it when something is a re’find’ and gets repurposed.

  2. Morning Linda
I like that – “re’find”. I also think “upscale” defines well. Your garden art is a reflection of this!
