An old Irish tweed Burberry coat was discovered on a church sale dig.
In a 3 a.m. play/think tank the idea suddenly came to cut parts of the coat into strips and use the coat as the loom and these strips as the warp on which to weave handspun yarn.
A piece under the collar was tried first to see how it looked and if it seemed it would work.

I am not sure if it is done. The coat and the fibre and I are still in dialogue. There is something quite satisfying about working on such a 'loom' with hands alone as the tools and truly 'sensing' the process. It was fun to wear it on a stroll today.
