If you are driving south along Fernwood Road by Vic High you will see this art work on a telephone pole. Fun enough – but if you are coming the other way along the street …..
……. you will see this cheerful fellow on the other side.
A lady named Beth who lives on Fernwood near here is responsible for the brightly painted poles along several blocks. She organized a painting party a few years ago and got the adventure going with the help of other residents.
But I think it was she and her daughter who recently did the dog.
If you don't live in Fernwood I suggest you make a point to go there and see her work – and that of others – on poles on other streets. There are birds and butterflies and flowers.

I love these poles. A small town where I used to work had all their fire hydrants painted as various animals and characters, it made driving through the town a treat, always having your eyes out for the next one.

I adore the aforementioned posts. A little town where I awhile back would work had all their blaze hydrants painted as changing beasts and elements, it made heading through the town a treat, consistently having your eyes out for the following one.
