Two-pronged fork ; why? Thrift store find.

IMG_3435 I've never seen forks quite like these before.  The fact that they came in a set of four makes me think they are for dining and not condiments.  However a google did not come up with anything even close.  On the back it says  stainless steel empire.

Any ideas?

I very much like the look of them and they are going to be tried out at dinner.

I wonder what the knife and spoon in this design would look like.

    Hi Karen,
I have a set just like these and they are called “sporks” a cross between a spoon and a fork. They are used for desserts mainly, for example cheesecake or strudel where you need to be able to cut off a piece and pick it up. Hope this has helped. Cheers.

  2. Thank you, Karin. This info has led to more questions! What fun.
