I want someone to write a book on 'garage sales'. The quotes indicate that this is to include church thrift shops, rummage sales, flea markets, thrift stores, free boxes, auction sales etc. - any means by which used goods are exchanged.
I want it to involve not only those who frequent the sales and those who give them. I want it to be a serious, in-depth study by people who realize it is far more than acquisition and are interested in exploring the many layers. By people like psychologists, economists, sociologists, historians, environmentaists, geneologists, futurists and likely etc's.
I have been a participant in 'garage sales' across forty-five years. It is a fascinating adventure. It deserves a book.
