Chair coat …. instant upholstery

IMG_5030 A nicely comfortable,  portable,  light,  waterproof, reclining …… chair!   I feel chairs are important!

After a few seasons outdoors,  sunburn sessions mark such chairs and so the two which came indoors to be of service were dressed.

When a long length (12 metres or so;  I bought half) of stretchy tube material presented at the weekly church sale I decided to see how the chair remaining on the deck would fare with a coat.

IMG_5031 There was fabric left and I found myself narrowing eyes at the deck stools,  the table …..  and then Victorians and piano legs – um. limbs – came to mind and I chuckled and put the extra cloth away.

IMG_5035 The cover does not interfere with the reclining feature.

IMG_5036 I quite like the tiered look when not cushioned .

And I was correct in assuming that it would dry quickly if caught in the rain.

  1. Karen – Interesting concept. I think it works well. I was wondering, is that a Hemlock just beyond your deck? I have fallen in love with Hemlocks of late. Soft and loose.
