Out of the Ordinary

Mt. Tolmie ; Victoria BC

IMG_5071 Even though I drive by it at least twice a week,  I have likely only been on top of Mt. Tolmie maybe two dozen times in twenty years.

For some reason I felt like doing that yesterday – and wondered why I haven't done it more often.

It can be accessed up Mayfair from Richmond or Cedar Hill X Road;  I have always gone up Mayfair from Richmond and down Mayfair to Cedar Hill X.

This is looking north and that is Mt. Doug on the edge of Victoria.  Mt. Tolmie isn't downtown but it is in the city.

  1. OMG! That sky is beautiful, what a view. Thanks for sharing.

  2. Thanks for the memories. Mt. Tolmie was one of the places we visited on our whirlwind tour of Victoria in 2008. Gorgeous views, and I just had to go and search back through our photo files and find the ones we took. We will be returning, perhaps November, as daughter is expecting her first baby at the end of October.

  3. Hello Missy
It is spectacular, isn’t it. I guess what amazes me most is that it is rather understated; I mean, the idea of it being called a mountain and you drive up this bit of a hill in a residential neighbourhood and then – the view! Seems you would have to drive far and climb high …..

  4. Hi Linda
Congratulations on another grandbaby on the way. Nice reason for a return visit.
