Summer …. just after dawn …. bubbles pour from the wand in profusion but this mere mortal misses half of them, not able to get the camera in a quick enough capture. The newly-emergent sun rays bleach the bubbles of their colours. In the autumn and spring and cool season, when I blow bubbles and watch what they do, I think of summer bubbles and how they behave in the warmth. In the summer …. I think only on them now. Or maybe it is a different kind of focus.
Early morning walk. Me. And two deer and two fawns.
At the moment there is not a garden with figs and cherries and plums and apples and pears and saskatoon berries and raspberries for the picking. A sunny windowsill and a plum from an elsewhere tree warm the heart and the palate.
