I could hear it raining in the night. In the morning it was stilll raining dribbling (Victoria's version of rain) but the downpour earlier (Vancouver style) promised …. puddles!
And there were! In anticipation I had sought out my Pixie Puddlers. And my rain coat.
Satisfactorily navigating curb waterways.
The rain added an incongruous element to the smoke tree.
Hoodie up … umbrella ready …. someone on way to school.
Sprinklers doing their duty no matter what the weather.
The rain coat – in spite of looking and sounding and feeling waterproof – is not, as you can see at the neckline.
Which is why I am glad it was … dribbling rain: I did not have an umbrella at the ready.
