There are many interpretations of what can be considered art. For me, at the moment, something that captures and holds my attention so that I pause (in action and/or thought) and focus with one or more of the senses and feel good about the experience is art. As an observer this happens with the leaves in their autumn colours on the trees, on the ground; with someone dressed in a thoughtful, characteristic way; with paint on canvas expressing a vision. As a participant this happens when I create structures from a flat piece of fibre: with paper it is origami; with cloth it is orikeito. The cooler weather blanket on the bed is amber fleece and here is today's version of what occurred when it was 'folded'.
Tomorrow it will be completely different. I like the snowflake comparison in this; the daily change of shoreline by the ocean waves; the transience of Zen sand painting.
