Oh, how I wish my eyes could have recorded this and reproduced it here as an image. I have never seen anything like this before. I was blowing morning bubbles from the balcony and noticed a hummingbird hovering. I thought it was waiting to come to the scarlet runner bean vines with their offerings of flowers.
But – suddenly that bird started to follow a bubble! It did so for several metres. The sight of that bird and that bubble shimmering in the sunlight, both light as the wind, still has me checking to make sure I have started breathing again.
I don't know what the hummer what have done if it had given the bubble a poke.
