Some black construction paper, black smooth paper and some newspaper, put into a blender with water and turned into slurry, poured into a colander and pressed to the shape then left to dry produced this bowl that suggests raku.
The fact of it being sun and wind dried on a hot summer day compared to over a hot air register as is done in winter seems to have given it an added touch of vivacity but this may be my sun and wind and summer perception.
The pattern on the bottom of the bowl pleases me.
What else could be used as a mould for paper bowls. I am wondering about a depression in earth …… or sand…….
