In this morning's post about birds I mentioned that the finches were doing fly-bys and perhaps were assessing the seed feeder. (click on photos to enlarge)
When I came home this afternoon this is what I saw:
The other birds mostly flew away when I got out the camera but this one stayed. I thought she was stuck!
I moved around to the other window.
This guy appeared. Attempted a landing but saw me and flew away.
He must have alerted her to the fact that she was being seriously observed. She backed out and flew away. And this finch immediately perched.
Another one joined in.
Posed …. and perfectly poised.
