Out of the Ordinary

Full Moon

There was a full moon last night.  As a July born person I am a Moon Child. I wrote this poem many moons ago.

That darned fool moon has decided

I'm pressed to understand why

To abandon all mood of decorum

And cartwheel about the sky.

I've made several admonitions

And spoken of consequence,

That so far it seemed to listen

Is my only hope of sense.

Who'd of thought the moon go silly

With this awful precedent.

If some night it's gone off missing

I'll say I don't know

Where on earth it went!

from Moon Madness and Other Skywritings.
